I’m not going to lie. I had a great deal of anxiety about this new distance learning. But I am happy to report that distance learning week 1 was a SUCCESS with Daddy.
Distance Learning Week 1
But seriously, anxiety was high this week.
Just trying to figure out how to adjust to this new structured norm. The class schedule for our first grader is more extensive than my grad school schedule. I was shocked to learn that the students will have to transition between various zoom links throughout the day. And all I could think about is how complicated this would be.

Even during the mock day orientation I could barely stay focused enough to sit through a 45 minute presentation. I immediately knew that having class via zoom for 8 hours would be challenging for little people.
Week 1 Distance Learning was a SUCCESS with Daddy
He has mastered her class schedule, balances snack and lunch time. He needs no reminders. Every time I try to check in he tells me he has things under the control and by the looks of things, he is right. He can even do a little technical support when needed. He is all around amazing!

I even caught him teaching our son about motors the other morning. These priceless moments are ones that I truly cherish. And even after a long day of distance learning and sesame street for our toddler the best part of the day is sitting outside on the porch and talking about what we learning and enjoyed most about our day.
But, rest assured Daddy to the rescue. Daddy starts the day early waking up our first grader. After washing up they go out to get breakfast and return back home to log in for her first class. I was kind of worried about whether Daddy would be able to handle this task but this past week has proved him to be the greatest Daddy Teacher ever!
