It’s unfortunate to admit but many people do not achieve their set goals. And the reason for this is pretty simple. So many people struggle with setting a goal and actually sticking to it, until success and achievement.
Undoubtedly, I have always been a goal setter. It has helped me so much along the way by creating a clearer vision to many aspects of my life.
For the most part, I set daily goals on top of my overall monthly goals. It depends on what I am seeking to achieve and the realistic time I can hold myself accountable to complete the goal.

What I Learned From Setting Goals
By setting goals the one thing that I learned that matters the most is that the process is far more important than your results. You may be wondering well how is the process of goal setting more important than actually achieving your set goals?
In fact, the process of goal setting is more important than the result because it teaches you to NEVER GIVE UP!
I often set goals and fail to meet my anticipated target. Does that change my goal? No, it does not.
To clarify, understanding the process of goal setting and learning never to give up on your goal is what shapes you into a successful person.
In addition, you may be struggling to break a old habit. It can take time for a new change to become a new habit. Repeating a goal over and over makes it stick.
Consequently, we must understand that if a roadblock presents when setting goals that it is not the end of the road. Take the detour and get right back on your road to your destination.

Goals allow you to create your own starting point. Therefore, from the moment you set your goal you have full control over your direction to your destination.
Writing down your goals allow you to see where you are going and will bring to your attention any changes that may need to be made along the way in order to reach your goal successfully.
2. Gaining A Clearer Focus
Your list of goals is your road map. Your goals are the targets you create which help to point and guide your life. As a result, writing down your list of goals will provide you with a clearer focus. Seeing is believing.
I am also a visual learner. I have to write out my plans and goals. Seeing my goals written out allows me to reflect back daily on my current goals and progress.
I like to write my plans down in my Happy Planner. It is a routine for me to review my Planner goals daily.
This provides me with a clearer focus on my goals and allows me to prioritize my goals better. You too can prioritize your goals better my having a clearer focus.

By setting goals it requires you to clarify your decision making. Often times in order to achieve a goal, it requires some type of sacrifice.
As part of the goal setting process you must stay committed in order to overcome challenges that may present in your path.
Clarifying your decision making will encourage you to make better decisions in order to benefit yourself and support your success.

Without a doubt, setting goals is not an easy task. In order to achieve a goal, it requires commitment. You must remain focused and work consistently towards bringing your goal to fulfillment.

Indeed, knowing that setting a goal puts you in a direct course of action is very motivating. Highlighting where you plan to go in life and mapping out how you plan on getting to your destination.

I am satisfied when I set my desires and commit to the achievement of my goals. For each accomplished goal that I check off my list, I know that I am one step closure to my desired destination and course of success.
